An Iowa native, I have worked in the live production industry for most my life doing audio, video, and lighting. My work was really a vocation. So much so this was all I ever really did since age twelve.

I had always dabbled in photography, particularly when traveling to places away from home. It wasn’t until my wife and I planned our first trip to Italy in 2012 that I became passionate about the art and craft of photography. We figured this would be a good time to upgrade to a ‘real’ camera. I knew from my work experience that having a ‘real’ camera only meant better pictures if I understood how to use the thing. As a technical professional, the craft of photography came naturally but the artistic part has taken more effort to develop.

My primary focus is landscape photography; maybe because I enjoy traveling and experiencing the endless wonders of this place we call earth. There are so many details that I had previously overlooked until I started seeing nature through the lens. No doubt God’s creativity is on display all around us. I now seek to experience His work and capture special moments to share with others.
