On June 18, 2015, my friend Justin and I headed out to photograph the sunrise at a beautiful field in Iowa. My plan was to capture a panoramic view of the scene that morning, but unfortunately, I made some technical errors while shooting, which ruined my attempt. Despite my disappointment, the light that morning was absolutely stunning. I was heartbroken when I returned to my computer and discovered that my pano attempt was a failure. I tried several methods to fix the error in post-processing, but I just couldn't get the image to look right. However, I still keep the files with me in hopes that I might be able to rescue the image someday when my Photoshop skills improve. Fast forward two years, while I was going through my photos, I stumbled upon an image taken on that memorable morning. It was the first shot I had taken while I was setting up for the panoramic view. So, all was not lost. I did manage to capture a 'keeper' from that morning and learned some valuable lessons too.
